About the Author

Hi, I'm Lydia Rawlings.

I write romantic comedies with a Kentucky accent, filled with small-town charm, horse country adventures, bluegrass traditions, and happily-ever-afters.

Why I Write These Stories

Because every reader deserves a story where love wins, neighbors show up, and at least one very opinionated horse has opinions about your dating life.

Love Worth Rooting For

I write romance where the happily ever after is guaranteed, and the road there is rough. My characters carry grief they haven't finished, family history they can't escape, and walls they've spent years building. I want readers cheering for them, groaning at their mistakes, and rereading the moment they finally get it right. My characters argue, laugh, get it wrong, and earn every bit of what they end up with. If you like love that takes work and is worth it, you're in the right place.

Small Towns, Big Hearts

I set my stories in the beauty of Kentucky's rolling hills and Appalachian hollers. People there show up with a casserole before you've finished crying, everybody knows your business by supper, and somebody always has strong opinions about cornbread. I love writing places where community is a comfort and a complication at the same time, where you can't hide from anyone and wouldn't really want to.

Found Family & Forever After

Every book stands on its own, but they all share one world. Characters from one story turn up as neighbors in another, and a friend you met in one book might be pulling up a lawn chair in the next. I write the kind of people you'd want on your side, the ones who'll cover for you and then tell everybody about it. If you like knowing the people you fell for are still out there, living happily, come stay a while.

"I write the kind of stories I want to curl up with on a rainy afternoon — ones full of wit, warmth, and the absolute certainty that love, even in its most chaotic form, is always worth it."
